What is your role at Devoteam?
I am Tako Grijpma, lead consultant in the DaaS unit. As a lead consultant I help my clients with integration problems and the challenges they have with monitoring and gaining insight into their IT landscape. I do this in various roles. From solution architect to developer / tester, but sometimes also from a pre-sales role where I am active together with our Sales Executives for existing and new customers.
What is the achievement at Devoteam that you are most proud of?
Setting up and leading a close-knit Elastic community within Devoteam. Within this community we share our knowledge among ourselves and we develop propositions and demos. We also support each other with solutions for customers.
What is your favorite technology?
Elastic.
What is the most important skill you need for your position?
Because I often work at the interface between IT and business, I need technical knowledge. But above all, the ability to translate this for the business.
If you had to choose again and you couldn’t go into IT for work, what would you do?
Something completely different. Probably something with woodworking like joiner.

The Data as a Service (DaaS) practice within Devoteam Netherlands consists of a team of about 30 specialists who are focused on three technologies: Microsoft, Google and Elastic. Working in the DaaS practice therefore means that as a consultant you have a specific focus on one of these three Gold Data Partners of Devoteam.
