What is your role at Devoteam?
Hi, I’m Julian Alferink and I’ve been working at Devoteam for two years now. I started as Future of the IT Traineeship Data & Analytics and currently work as a Consultant within the DaaS Unit.
What is the achievement at Devoteam that you are most proud of?
During the IT Traineeship I got to know the Spotfire tool. This is a visualization tool to develop dashboards. I applied this tool after my Traineeship at FrieslandCampina. The start at this company was difficult due to the corona restrictions and I only met the colleagues physically on the heath. I have enjoyed working there for almost 1.5 years now.
What is your favorite technology?
Microsoft Azure.
If you had to choose again and you couldn’t go into IT for work, what would you do?
My work certainly gives me satisfaction and energy. In my own time I get that from my passion for travel and photography. Before I started at Devoteam, I went backpacking in Southeast Asia for a few months. During my trip I got to know a lot of new people with different cultures. The combination with photography produces great results and it has also helped me to have followed a photography course.

The Data as a Service (DaaS) practice within Devoteam Netherlands consists of a team of about 30 specialists who are focused on three technologies: Microsoft, Google and Elastic. Working in the DaaS practice therefore means that as a consultant you have a specific focus on one of these three Gold Data Partners of Devoteam.
