What is your role at Devoteam?
I work as a Lead Consultant / Senior Manager within the IT Consulting Unit. I am mainly involved in guiding organizations in their digital transformation. The nice thing about this position is that it allows me to combine my interest in technology with thinking about how you can deal with this as an organization. Ultimately, it is always about finding the right balance between people (People), way of working (Process) and the right tools (Technology).
What is the achievement at Devoteam that you are most proud of?
Together with an organization for which we have developed a software package, we have taken up the challenge of offering this software package commercially to other comparable companies. I have been asked to help set up such an organization. In the first year, we not only set up multidisciplinary teams, but did so with such a high quality that it has provided the organization with multiple ISO/NEN certificates. This could only be achieved through intensive cooperation, focus on quality and mutual trust.
What is your favorite technology?
I am very intrigued by cloud technology in the broadest sense of the word. Where cloud services were initially mainly used by innovative companies, it is now impossible to imagine life without the current (it) landscape. However, we are only at the beginning of what is possible with this technology.
If you had to choose again and you couldn’t go into IT for work, what would you do?
Originally I was trained in (graphic) product design and my ambition was to work for an advertising agency. During my studies I started at the helpdesk of a large internet supplier. From there I became more and more involved with IT. I ended up working for a year in an advertising agency as an operational director. Afterwards it turned out that I felt more at home with IT professionals.
