Mark Sibering is a Principal Architect at Devoteam. He has architected, designed and implemented service provider environments for over 20 years.
In his current role he is supporting customers to make the transition from hands-on network deployment to fully automated deployment at industrial scale.
For this purpose he has developed the NetCICD framework, which provides a basic starting point for a fully controlled network development process and subsequent deployment in the production network.
The framework includes git, Jenkins, Ansible, Behave and PyATS and is aimed at delivering proven quality templates and workflows for network deployment pipelines.

While it seems easy to automate your network, it will only be successful if you can prove your automation is flawless. If you cannot, automation is a very successful recipe to make things go very wrong very fast.
